Pinnup began with a simple idea: community wellness isn’t a luxury — it's a necessity. We saw a gap in how wellness programs were being designed and delivered.
Pinnup transforms community wellness by providing accessible, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed solutions, especially for immigrant, refugee, and underserved communities. Founded by Eric Maina Kibui, Pinnup serves diverse communities, faith-based organizations, and families through neighbor-based outreach, multilingual technology, and trauma-sensitive education.
Eric is a Certified Mental Health Coach (C-MHC) and is actively pursuing a Trauma-Informed Certificate for Coaches, alongside certifications in suicide intervention (ASIST) and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), strengthening Pinnup’s ability to serve communities ethically and effectively. Our mission combines real-world community programs with ongoing professional development for sustainable, meaningful impact.
Pinnup is currently led by founder Eric Maina—a father, community builder, and wellness advocate who created this platform from the ground up to connect people with free, inclusive, and culturally-rooted events.

Some journeys begin with strategy. This one began with exhaustion. One day, between juggling kids, work, and the wild goose chase of finding something free and worthwhile to do… a thought hit:
"What if there was a better way to find moments that matter?"
Not noise. Not nonsense.
Real things. Real community. Real healing.
That spark became Pinnup—not through a grand launch, but through quiet resolve. One page, one idea, one moment at a time.
Pinnup wasn’t born from strategy—it was born from lived experience. As a father and community advocate juggling work, family, and limited wellness access, Eric experienced firsthand how immigrant families often struggle to find culturally sensitive emotional support. Pinnup was created to bridge this gap, turning isolated individuals into connected communities built on trust, understanding, and shared healing.
